Omar Hussain
Graduate Student Research Assistant

Omar Hussain is a Master’s student studying Higher Education at the University of Michigan and a research assistant at the National Forum on Higher Education for the Public Good.  His research has been focused on undocumented students and providing postsecondary opportunities for underserved minorities.  Currently he has been examining modes of crisis communication at colleges and universities facing political opposition from the media and professional peers.  Prior to arriving at the University of Michigan, he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from California State University Monterey Bay.
