Aurora is native of Southern California, born and raised just outside of Los Angeles.  She received my BA in Social Sciences with a minor in Public Health from UC Irvine and went on to receive her EdM in Administration Planning and Social Policy from Harvard.  Her passion is for serving underrepresented and underserved students, providing them an opportunity for success.  For the past 12 years, she has served in several capacities within Outreach, Multicultural Affairs and Student Affairs at UC Irvine, UM, and most recently at Santa Ana College where she served as an Associate Dean.  She enjoys spending time with her two amazing sons, Marco (12) and Michio (6), and her husband, Mark (also a CSHPE alum).  For fun, she enjoys snow skiing and looking for a good sale.  Moving back to Michigan is like a “coming home” for her family and she’s excited to be returning!
