Kim PortraitKimberly Reyes is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Higher Education at the University of Michigan’s Center for the Study of Higher and Postsecondary Education.  Prior to entering the doctoral program, Kim earned her master’s degree in Higher Education, also from the University of Michigan. Originally from Los Angeles, California, Kim chose the East Coast for school and graduated from Duke University in 2003.  While at Duke, she became highly involved with the Latino community through leadership in Mi Gente: Asociacion de Estudiantes Latinos and Latinas Promoviendo Comunidad/Lambda Pi Chi Sorority, Inc.  After working at Teach For America Miami and the admissions staff at the University of Miami, Kim returned to her alma mater in 2007 to work as an Assistant Director of Admissions and Coordinator of Latino Student Recruitment in the Undergraduate Admissions office.  She was responsible for the annual Latino Student Recruitment weekend (LSRW) program as well as for the recruitment and selection of applicants from Southern California, Hawai’i, Nevada, and Puerto Rico.  Kim also continued to serve her Sorority as the National Vice President of Expansion and Southeastern Regional Director, and currently sits on the executive board for the Duke University Latino Alumni Association.
