Lara is a doctoral student in Organizational Behavior and Management at the University of Michigan’s Center for the Study of Higher and Post Secondary Education. Lara holds a law degree from the University of Windsor (1997) and a Master of Arts in Higher Education from the University of Michigan (2008). Lara brings to her work at the National Forum over ten years of accomplished professional experience as an attorney, teacher, social worker, and leader in higher education. As project manager at the National Forum, Lara has provided educational leadership in the design, organization, reframing, and execution of a national conference on immigration and higher education policy. Lara also manages teams of graduate students and staff in the development and implementation of change strategies and capacity in complex organizations. She has been involved in our work on adult learning, community engagement, leadership dialogues, and strategic plan implementation.
