Briana is a recent alum of the University of Michigan (April 2016), where she graduated with a Bachelor’s in Psychology with minors in Afro-American & African Studies and Community Action & Social Change. She joined the Forum as a UROP student in 2013 to assist in Dr. Betty Overton-Adkins’ research on shifting demographics at Historically Black Colleges and Universities and has assisted with various other projects since then. Briana’s academic, research, and career interests revolve around increasing marginalized youths’ access to higher education and supporting them during that transition and throughout college. She hopes to begin a dual Master’s program in Social Work and Higher Education in order to further build upon these interests.
